Beeston Wildlife Group is a group of enthusiasts affiliated to Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust.

We aim to engage others in the whole wildlife experience by providing access to a range of walks and talks.

In Remembrance - Phil Squire

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of Phil Squire, a fellow member of the Beeston Wildlife Group Committee. After battling with cancer, he passed away on 19th March. Our thoughts and condolences are with his family.

Phil made a valuable contribution to the work of the Beeston Wildlife Group, especially using his computer expertise. He enjoyed being involved in all our walks, talks and trips, where people warmed to his friendly, calm personality.

He will be greatly missed.

THE CITY with Paul Hobson

Monday 19th April 2021, 7.30pm

Ever thought about visiting your local concrete jungle for your next nature trip? Well you should! Cities can be havens for wildlife such as peregrine falcons, pigeons, orchids, otters, kingfishers and even dippers! You will be enlightened by Paul's insight into the wildlife of urban Britain.

This talk will take place via the popular Zoom app and will cost £2 per device. If everybody in your household will be viewing the talk on the same device you only need to pay once.

Please be advised that in order to combat the spread of the Coronavirus our talks and walks have been suspended in line with Government recommendations. Please see the the top of this page for information on our virtual talks.

Update 30th September 2020:  We are looking to run virtual talks via the popular app Zoom. If you are not already on our mailing list and would like to receive information on these please subscribe to our newsletter using the feedback form on this website.

Update 12th September 2020:  We have suspended our talk programme until further notice. We will update the website with details of future talks as and when we are able to restart them.

Update 1st September 2020:  As we are unable to predict the number of people that will attend our Guided Attenborough Walks - and there have been walks previously when it has been as many as 40! - we are still unable to guarantee compliance with the Government's social distancing regulations.  Many apologies.
