We are pleased to announce the following virtual talk programme. The talks will take place via the popular and simple to use video conferencing app Zoom. We have created a basic guide to using Zoom here including how to access the talk via a smart phone.
WILDLIFE AND FORENSIC SCIENCE with Jim Miller
Monday 18th January 2021, 7.30pm
Prepare yourselves for an 'arresting' evening as we 'uncover' how the police use wildlife in their investigations. How do plants, sniffer dogs, laboratory cats, DNA, blowflies and other wildlife provide clues for our detectives to solve crimes?
This talk will take place via the popular Zoom app and will cost £2 per device. If everybody in your household will be viewing the talk on the same device you only need to pay once.
REWILDING - HOW CAN WE RESTORE NATURE with Tim Birch
Monday 22nd February 2021, 7.30pm
One way of restoring nature and reversing declines is to re-colonise an area with native species. By reintroducing animals to the right environment with space to flourish, there is hope! See how we can help beavers, red squirrels, hen harriers and other species to thrive again. The future's wild!
